International Café & Cultural Presentation

Third official International Café event & Cultural presentation was held at the University with participation of Sierra Leonean students. We firmly believe that through our continued and enchanced mutual understanding and engagement our relations will grow stronger in the coming years for the mutual benefit of two countries. In behalf of University of Nyíregyháza welcoming speech was given by: Dr. Zoltán Kovács Vice-Rector General. He highlighted the importance of appreciating everything we have and celebrate the great miracle of freedom.

What is life without goals?

The management of the University of Nyíregyháza was delighted to hear about the initiation about friendly football match between Sierra Leonean and Angolan foreign students which was held before the opening celebration of 62nd Independence Day of Sierra Leone. 

"Dance with me" event organised by Mustárház IITI

On 22 April, our Hungarian students participated together with our foreign students in the international dance evening "Dance with me" organised by Mustárház IITI. The students who participated in the event had the opportunity to present the traditional dances of their countries and learn about the music and dances of other nations and cultures. The evening took place in a good atmosphere, with both foreign and Hungarian students having a great time.

 

Art exhibition Erasmus+ visit from Turkey

On 17-21 April, Doç. Dr Cihan Şule Külük, museum educator/artist from Turkey, visited the University of Nyíregyháza to participate in an exhibition and workshop.
At the opening of the exhibition the welcoming speech was given by Prof. Dr. habil. Béla Szepessy gave the opening speech. The exhibition included 40 digital graphics on the theme of Ex Libris.

Focus on international students - Deputy State Secretary Miklós Lengyel visited the University of Nyíregyháza

On 30 March 2023, Miklós Lengyel, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, responsible for training, scholarship programs, and science diplomacy, visited the University of Nyíregyháza to learn about the internationalization programs of our university, held talks with the university's management and experts, and met with foreign scholarship students. He also visited the LEGO Education Innovation Studio, the international community arena, and the pilot training practice place. 

Spring party organized by mentor association of the University

On 18 March the mentor association of the University of Nyíregyháza organized a Spring Party Event for the Stipendium Hungaricum, Erasmus, and Self-paying students. The party was held at the Erasmus International Room on the Campus territory. In order to feel playful moments the mentor group has prepared a short 1 minute to complete competitive games. Those students who have shown competitiveness have been awarded a small gift. The International Relations Office of the University cardially highlights the importance of such events.   

Dance house event and meeting with representatives from Mustárház IITI

BURSZA - a dance house event organized by the Music Institute of the University of Nyíregyháza on 8 March 2023. Our Institution was happy to welcome representatives from Mustárház IITI and its President: Dombovári Gábor. The event became popular among foreign students, helping them to integrate more into Hungary and stay connected to Hungarian traditions. The cultural heritage and diversity of Europe have successfully affected international students of the University of Nyíregyháza.

International Café Stipendium Hungaricum Event

Second Official International Café Event was held on 3 March 2023 at the University of Nyíregyháza in the Erasmus Community Room where the students feel and share the vibe of togetherness. The main topics of the presentation was Angola and its cultural heritage. The presenters were the students who arrived in the frame of the Stipendium Hungaricum programme. Romeu Pereira Ernesto - first-year Mechanical engineer student, Francisco Armando Macedo - senior year Computer Science student.
