The Pannonia Scholarship Programme is a higher education scholarship program founded by the Hungarian Government and coordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation.
The objectives of the programme are:
- To support the international mobility of students, teachers, researchers (university citizens)
- strengthening international interdisciplinary cooperation;
- promoting excellence and mobility;
- promote/ support competitive education, research and innovation;
- strengthening the concept of lifelong learning;
- developing quality assurance and automatic credit recognition;
- promoting progression in university rankings.
Who can apply?
- A student with an active student status at the University, who is a scholarship holder or a self-paying student.
- Studying full-time or part-time in a bachelor's or master' degree programme of the University in Hungarian.
- Studying at the University with a Stipendium Hungaricum / Diaspora scholarship.
- They have completed at least two semesters successfully.
- Have completed 90% of the total credits of the required sample curriculum in their major field of study on a time proportional basis.
- Have submitted their application documents in full
Short-term student mobility:
- Study mobility E.g. conference, summer university, block course participation (higher education vocational training, bachelor, master, undivided long program, doctoral)
- Research mobility (bachelor, master, undivided long program, doctoral; in case of bachelor programs at the end of the degree program in connection to thesis courses, in case of undivided long programs after completeing 7 semesters)
General mobility information:
- A student can receive a Pannonia Scholarship for a maximum of 12 months per training cycle, regardless of the type and number of mobility activities undertaken.
- Short-term student mobility must be a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 30 days.
- Short-term learning mobility may also include participation in a conference, provided that the participation involves an active contribution to the professional content or organisation of the conference, e.g. a presentation or workshop at the conference. Attendance at conferences as a participant only is not supported.
- Living expenses support for travel days may be requested for short-term study mobilities if the travel takes place within 24 hours before the start date of the mobility and/or within 24 hours after the end date of the mobility. In this case, the travel dates must be verified with a ticket for public transport or a criminal liability declaration for car and carpooling.
- A letter of support signed by the student's supervisor is required for the research scholarship application.

After the scholarship period, in the case of research mobility, the student must prepare a research report, which includes the activities and results of the mobility. The report is accepted by the student's thesis supervisor and the head of the department/institute.
