The Pannonia Scholarship Programme is a higher education scholarship program founded by the Hungarian Government and coordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation.
The objectives of the programme are:
- To support the international mobility of students, teachers, researchers (university citizens)
- strengthening international interdisciplinary cooperation;
- promoting excellence and mobility;
- promote/ support competitive education, research and innovation;
- strengthening the concept of lifelong learning;
- developing quality assurance and automatic credit recognition;
- promoting progression in university rankings.
Who can apply?
- A student with an active student status at the University, who is a scholarship holder or a self-paying student.
- Studying full-time or part-time in a bachelor's or master' degree programme of the University in Hungarian.
- Studying at the University on a Stipendium Hungaricum / Diaspora scholarship.
- They have completed at least two semesters successfully.
- Have completed 90% of the total credits of the required sample curriculum in their major field of study on a time proportional basis.
- Have submitted their application documents in full
Long-term student mobility (undergraduate, masters):
- Study mobility
- Professional internships and recent graduate internships
- Research mobility (2-3 months, Master, MSc and PhD level; minimum 7 semesters completed for MSc courses)
Short-term student mobility (bachelor, master):
- Study mobility E.g. conference, summer university, block course participation
- Research mobility (master)
General mobility information:
- A student can receive a Pannonia Scholarship for a maximum of 12 months per training cycle, regardless of the type and number of mobility activities undertaken.
- The duration of the traineeship for recent graduates must be counted towards the maximum of 12 months in the cycle in which the traineeship is applied for.
- Long-term student mobility may last for a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months
- Short-term student mobility must be a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 30 days.
- Short-term learning mobility may also include participation in a conference, provided that the participation involves an active contribution to the professional content or organisation of the conference, e.g. a presentation or workshop at the conference. Attendance at conferences as a participant only is not supported.
