On 27 October, the University of Nyíregyháza had the honour of welcoming Her Excellency Margueritte Francoise Nyagahura, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Hungary, to our institution.

During her visit, the Ambassador met with the University's leadership and the management of the International Relations Office, engaging in meaningful discussions on international cooperation and the importance of fostering lasting connections between our countries and institutions.
One of the most heartfelt moments of the visit was Her Excellency meeting our Rwandan students, providing an opportunity for genuine conversation, personal connection, and the strengthening of the bonds that unite us beyond borders.
At the University of Nyíregyháza, we believe that international relationships are built not only through institutional cooperation, but also through the friendships, shared experiences, and mutual understanding that bring people together. The enduring friendship between Hungary and Rwanda is a wonderful example of the value of these connections.
We are deeply honoured by Her Excellency's visit and grateful for the opportunity to strengthen our ties with Rwanda. As an internationally minded university, we remain committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and hospitable environment where students from every corner of the world can feel at home.
Because internationalisation is not only about bringing the world to our university — it is about making the world feel welcome here.
