Coordinated by the TEMPUS Public Foundation, Hungarian higher education made its debut at the largest educational event in the Asia-Pacific region (APAIE 2026), with a total of eight domestic higher education institutions participating. Held in Hong Kong from February 23 to 27, the education fair aimed to strengthen international partnerships and showcase current and innovative trends in higher education.

The event also provided an excellent opportunity for the institution’s experts to establish further international collaborations and gain new professional insights. Participation in the sessions and networking events further supports the university’s dynamic internationalization processes and the exchange of best practices.

"The University of Nyíregyháza considers it a priority to be actively present in the international higher education arena, which is why participation in prestigious professional forums such as APAIE 2026 is of great significance. The experiences gained at the leading educational conference in the Asian region and the newly established connections further strengthen our institution’s internationalization efforts and contribute to providing our students and faculty with even broader opportunities for international collaboration. We are convinced that such professional engagement not only increases our university’s visibility in the global higher education landscape but also lays the groundwork for new directions of development and lasting international partnerships in the future," emphasized Dr. Ildikó Vajda, Vice-President for Education at the University of Nyíregyháza.
