On 20 October 2025, the University of Nyíregyháza had the honour of welcoming Her Excellency Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, and Ms. Ebru Aydin, Third Secretary, for an introductory visit.
The delegation was received by Dr. György Szabó, Rector of the University, and representatives of the International Relations Office.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with members of the Turkish student community at our university — more than 50 Turkish students took part in the meeting.
Dr. György Szabó expressed his appreciation for the presence of Turkish students at the University of Nyíregyháza and his commitment to further strengthening academic cooperation between our institutions.
