Pannonia trees and plants were planted by the students

Pannónia tree planting

Students from the Institute of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences planted trees and medicinal herbs in the János Tuzson Botanical Garden with the support of the Pannonia Scholarship Program. Several of the students participating in the initiative have already applied for or are planning to apply for Pannonia mobility grants. During the campaign, 26 new plant species were added to the garden, including several that are not native to Hungary. The planting of the trees has symbolic significance, as the collection now includes plants from countries that university citizens have not yet been able to visit through Erasmus+ mobility. Of particular interest is the inclusion of a Cornus Florida tree, which is native to the United States. The planting not only increases the botanical value of the garden, but also enriches the international connections and perspectives of the students. The program thus contributes to both the enrichment of natural heritage and the promotion of student mobility.
