International Welcome Event at the University of Nyíregyháza

On the 24th of October, the University of Nyíregyháza and the university's management officially welcomed all the international students at an international welcome event. The event took place at the University's Great Lecture Hall of Building B, where Dr. György Szabó, Rector of the University of Nyíregyháza officially welcomed all the international students. The institution makes a conscious effort towards the integration of arrived students. 

Erasmus+ days Rolling to Tokaj

On 10 October 2023, the staff of the International Relations Office, together with foreign students from the University of Nyíregyháza, took part in a bicycle tour of Tokaj. The tour was part of the Erasmus+ Days programme series promoting Erasmus+ international scholarships. The aim of the one-day event was to discover the cultural and historical heritage of Tokaj, in addition to the sporting activities.

Study Tour (ORADEA)

On the 27th and 28th of September 2023, in order to increase the outgoing mobility of our students, we organized a 2-day motivational study trip with 20 students to visit the Partium Christian University in Oradea.

Workshop

On 28 September 2023, internationalization experts Laura dr. Sinóros-Szabó, Head of the Department Ministry for Innovation and Technology, and Dr. Marcel Pop, Director of International Relations at Semmelweis University, held a professional workshop. 

Bicycle Tour in the framework of Erasmus+

Dear Students!

The International Relations Office is organizing a Bicycle Tour to Tokaj in the framework of Erasmus+ Days on 9 October 2023 (Monday) for the students of the University of Nyíregyháza.

The programme of the tour:

- Departure to Tokaj 7 a.m. from the Campus Dormitory

- On the way to Tokaj, students are invited to have ice cream at the Handicraft Ice Cream Parlour in Nyírtelek.

Semester opening welcome party

On 26 September 2023, the international and Hungarian students had fun together at the opening party organized by the Lónyay College, the International Relations Office, and the HÖT. The theme of the event was colours. Students dressed up according to the color they had drawn and were allowed to bring food and drinks of the same color. The International Relations Office celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme with this event, which was attended by many SH students.
