The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme was established by the Hungarian Government to promote the internationalisation of Hungarian higher education and to attract excellent foreign students from all over the world, who can develop personal and professional ties with Hungary while receiving a high quality education in the heart of Europe. The Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Network mentors are responsible for the peer support and integration of foreign students coming to Hungary with the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme.

The International Relations Office of the University of Nyíregyháza invites applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum/Diaspora Mentor student position in the autumn semester of the academic year 2024/2025.

On June 5, 2024, the international students of the University of Nyíregyháza had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of the Szatmár region of our county in the framework of a round trip.

On 31 May 2024, the Nyíregyháza Zoo offered a special discount to the city's residents, which gave the opportunity to international students of the University of Nyíregyháza to visit the park, organized by the International Relations Office of the University of Nyíregyháza.

Portuguese Language Day event at the University of Nyíregyháza

The event was jointly organised by the University and the Angolan Embassy, as a result of a long-standing relationship. The event aims to promote Angolan culture and the Portuguese language.

On Monday, 27 November 2023, representatives of the Zaozhuang University of China visited the institution, where they discussed future cooperation opportunities with the leaders of the university. During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed.
